I wrote to the dev of Quickboot but have yet to hear anything back. Would love to find another program that would do the same thing, but compatible with Catalina. They both basically work in the same way, sadly however they used to work is no longer an option, as with both I get a message saying it was unable to change boot volume while performing bless command. Once you restart, it goes back to default. They sit in your menu bar, and theoretically should set temp boot volume, so not permanent like in system preferences. I had found two apps, one called Bootchamp, and the other called Quickboot, which used to be able to do this. I would love to see a similar option in mac os to go to Windows. I did discover the updates a few days ago, and being able to switch back in to mac os from inside Windows is awesome. Plus it still has all the ports, so I'm not living the dongle life just yet. Glad this is fixed for newer models, but I just got my used 2015 and absolutely love it. I had to have someone from microsoft, through Be My Eyes walk me through the install. On my 2015 macbook pro, drivers weren't injected until after Windows was fully installed. Handy utility to make it easier to reboot into your Boot Camp windows drive, or even another OS X install. the download of the Bootcamp support software didjn't work the first time either. I did that, however it restored the time machine snapshots that the Bootcamp assistant removed. the Bootcamp assistant told me to run first ade in disk utility. Keep in mind, though, that it migjht now work when you setup Bootcamp the first time.
